Sweet spot of the year

I’m so glad I booked today off.
Today was an example of what I call the sweet spot of the year in this area. Fresh spring weather, warm and sunny, but before the mosquitoes, grasshoppers and other such things have established a foothold.
Worked in the yard doing a little spring cleaning, went for a run on the paths and enjoyed every minute of the sunshine and comfortable temperature, coupled with the fact that after a long brutal winter we can finally move around and enjoy the outdoors again. Today was a perfect day.

Access Communications slow?

I’ve noticed my bandwidth suffering during peak hours lately which makes me think Access may be beyond capacity or suffering some other problems.
Ping times are ok, however the throughput just isn’t anywhere near what it should be. Has anyone else been experiencing this lately or am I just the lucky one?

Apple iPhone 4 launch in Canada (or lack thereof)

I can’t speak for everyone, but where I am (Regina, Saskatchewan) as of now we’re a full month into the iPhone 4 launch in Canada and I still cannot buy one.

It’s hard to believe. Apple had a month since the US launch to prepare. Locations in our city received only a few phones which were sold out before the day was out. Since then, every week or so locations received anywhere from zero to two more phones which obviously sold as soon as they arrived.

A month after a questionably feeble launch and they’re still completely unavailable? I don’t know what other conclusion can be reached. Apple obviously doesn’t care if they have any customers in Canada, or at least my end of it. Weird.

I find it difficult to reward that kind of open contempt for my business. I was on the fence before but this is making my decision easier. Looks like it’s time to switch.
